The Cycle Factory is the first shop in South Africa to offer bicycles, accessories and clothing in a factory store environment.  By not having a mall or shopping centre location, we are able to keep our overheads at a minimum and this means that we can offer a vast selection of top brands at low prices.  Our store is one of the largest stores in Cape Town and gives us the ability to house many different brands.  All of our bicycles are displayed in their own manufacturer’s areas, giving an expo type environment for all of our bicycle brands.  Furthermore, we have recently launched our new SILVERBACK showroom - over 100m2 of the latest Silverbacks, giving us one the largest Silverback showroom in South Africa. Gone are the days when you have rows and rows of bicycles that are all just lumped together.  You will find the whole shopping experience much more pleasant and it easier to compare brands and make a more informed decision. As well as offering all of the latest gear, we also sell end of range/demo bicycles and accessories at incredible prices, so we are truly the only real bicycle superstore in Cape Town. The store is conveniently located in Spearhead Business Park, which means we are just minutes from the N1, Canal Walk and Century City.  There is loads of free parking and we offer free Wifi connection and great coffee when you visit our store.  

 

 

The question that is constantly being asked is why are so many different brands being carried – isn’t it confusing?  Our answer is simple: choice, choice, choice.  When one shops for anything these days it is so disappointing to be shown only one or two brands and these are usually limited to what the store makes the best margin on.  Our philosophy is quite the opposite; we want you to have the biggest choice available, regardless of margins.  Of course with hundreds of bicycle manufacturers worldwide, we cannot stock everything.  Therefore, we have hand-picked several of the top brands that give you the best value for money, the latest technology, and the best in support/warranty.  We do not take any rebates from any manufacturer, so we do not “push” any one brand over another. Your needs are properly assessed right from the beginning, therefore, we help you select the correct bicycle or accessory that is right for you.

If you are a beginner or a novice, we take special care in not making you feel intimidated when buying a bicycle.  Bicycles and all options are explained in friendly, down to earth terms and you are not sold anything that is beyond what you really need. We have beginner’s aluminium mountain bikes for as little as R1900 and top brand road bikes that start at around R6,000 so it is now more affordable than ever to get into cycling.

We also have a complete children’s section with Avalanche, Silverback, Giant , Titan Schwinn and Mongoose children’s bikes and accessories.  Your child is correctly fitted for their new bike and the bikes that we stock have been selected for quality and durability, saving you repair headaches.

We have a state of the art workshop that is fully tooled and can handle all of your service needs and is fully qualified for fork and rear shock servicing.  Some of South Africa’s top road, mountain bike and triathalon riders make use of our service centre and we are considered to be one of the very best service centre’s in the Western Cape.
